Healthcare workers say they are 'gobsmacked' by a shortage in essential treatments for diabetics.

"We don't have the answers patients deserve, there are waiting lists for any stock that is delivered," he said.

Diabetic meds are recommended to be prioritised for type II diabetic patients; but no rules have changed. Many pharmacy's are making $$$$ by supplying to weight loss patients- who are willing to pay more than the PBS reimburses for type 2 ozempic

Fantastic idea (not) to publish the name of the only other alternative injectable for diabetics, which is also in seriously short supply! 🙄 That's exactly how use of Ozempic took off.

If it's a prescription drug shouldn't the matter be resolved by action being taken by Doctors who are responsible for issuing the prescriptions?

Hate to break it to you love but almost all people whom are over weight are also prediabetic. In other words, they need the medication as well
