"Cost-sharing" is an umbrella term — it's your share of the costs for health care services you receive. It comes in several forms: the deductible, co-payments, and coinsurance. While you pay your premium every month no matter what, these other payments only come into play when you pick up a prescription or see a doctor or other provider, or have some sort of exam or procedure done.

If you end up using a lot of health insurance in a single year, you might hit your out-of-pocket maximum, which is the most you'll ever have to pay on covered health services in a given year. It's the threshold above the deductible — if you hit it, you'll have no copays or coinsurance — your insurance will pay 100% of the cost of all covered health services for the rest of that calendar year.
