Western Health has a team on the ground to meet the needs of those affected by Fiona.The health authority also says it is common for residents to experience strong emotional and physical responses following a traumatic event.

People experiencing despair or emotional upset are encouraged to reach out in a number of ways. That includes the 811 health line, mental health and addictions office and the Provincial Lifewise Warm Line. Meanwhile, all scheduled appointments at Western Health on the southwest coast will be proceeding this week. If you have an appointment but are unable to keep it, call the Western Health Fiona Response Line at 1-833-920-0096.
