The NDP government like to pretend they are working for the people. They're not.

What about the rest of Canada come on is like this Canada wide already 🙄

If prices weren’t so high in BC we could prob attract new people. Everyone is leaving when you need 60K + a year just to rent a $2500/month shoe box

Horgan skipped to the head of the line for his cancer treatment while others have waited months for basic consultations and scans.

Good luck if you get cancer. My partner has been through the wringer with postponed appointments. Appointments not scheduled. Appointments moved without notice. Good luck, seriously.

I waited 13 months for an echocardiogram, but did see a cardio specialist in 2 mos. I tried for 2 yrs to get a follow up with a neurologist but gave up.

solution is simply ; recruit immigrant doctors.!

They’ll respond like Eby did with ICBC. Incompetence.

And then we have the judiciary saying it's perfectly ok to allow some people to suffer on waiting lists in order that *many* can have access to free medical care! How insulting and cruel is that? But that's Canada folks!

Do we literally have to mobilize to get you to listen? adriandix We dont have a good history when it comes to large crowds together DTown. It's almost like your asking us to berate you in public cause that's all that's left. British Columbians are gonna die and that's real

adriandix bcpoli why not allow over the border treatment/care with hospitals and specialists in Bellingham or Seattle? Specialists don’t grow on trees and are leaving or not moving here because of the high cost of living.

I read that 1 in 5 BC residents need a specialist for an issue. Seems more like BC citizens are crumbling.

What are the problems though? And what are the solutions to solve them? Seriously, what should the system do? Throwing more money at it never seems to solve problems.

How hard is it to ask big companies for major fund donations?

Meanwhile...ppl in other countries are jealous of our healthcare system and that it's free..little do they know the mess

SpecialistsBc Its time that Dix stepped down.

FireAdrianDix

MerlinofCanada What if we make everyone a government employee so we can get jjhorgan service?

Sadly the Healthcare situation is doing poorly. We used to be a template for the rest of the world 🌎. I might have to go to Seattle for eye surgery. We are being ruled by people who haven't got a clue. I give up.

Thank you to these doctors. I've been waiting for gall bladder surgery for 2 mos now and I just received an appointment for my initial consultation in mid November! It's looking like it's gonna take half a year to get this done. I'm in constant pain and worry.

When 'the Dixter' was the health critic, he said the below quote. Now that he's the 'Health Minister', he's backed off from that statement. Interestingly, LondonDrugs is the ONLY BC drugstore chain still selling smokes. CONNECTION 'Mister Wishy-Washy' has ZERO CREDIBILITY!!

adriandix it is time to ome to the podium with a credible plan and solution. If you can't do that, resign and let someone else have a shot.

Mr. Dix has supported medical racism and misogyny for years

. . sorry folks . . this is what a lame duck government looks like . . a specialist’s opinion carries no more weight than Joe Shmuck’s . . ✏️ . . look for Dix to gracefully bow out once Marxist ideologue David Eby takes the reins . .

He must respond quickly

Very good article - more money is just 1 of the many factors needed

So the letters from voters over a year ago warning of the collapse were thrown in the garbage. “Specialists “ now are telling him?

Open a few private clinics see how it goes nothing to lose government won’t pay for their setup

So we need more immigration to fill the worker shortage? Also housing for these workers cdnpoli bcpoli vanpoli

BCs crumbling health care system has already fallen FLAT on our Faces, and guess WHO is responsible...

Where are sufficient hospital beds per thousand of population. Example Squamish 25 hospital beds for a catchment of 25000 Squamish 15000 Whistler . Equivalent to Ethiopia .

adriandix is either utterly incomepetent, or he’s breaking the healthcare system on purpose. You decide. Either way: adriandix for CrimesAgainstHumanity

it seems worse here than any other province....more people without GPs, more closures etc What is the NDP doing?

At what point do we classify Dix a failure and assign someone else to this file?

I thought the headline was 'Socialists write open letter...' Now THAT would be worth reading...

We have been saying this for awhile . Nobody seems to care. 😥

That mofo needs firing.

The health care system isn’t crumbling!

katiederosayyj Imagine a wait of 8 months to see inguinal hernia surgeon at VGH for initial consultation. Adrian Dix must respond immediately.

Privatizing health care isn't the taboo it once was. But would it help Quebec's ailing system? | CBC NewsLong wait times for surgeries and overwhelmed emergency rooms have made the Quebec public hungry for new ideas to improve the province's health-care system — and a solution being proposed in the election campaign is further privatizing the network. This shouldn't be that difficult, we've had the same problems for decades. Rebuild the system, look around the world at best practices, etc. Don’t do it Everyone loves to complain but nobody ever gives better solutions within their complaint.
