Long wait times for surgeries and overwhelmed emergency rooms have made the Quebec public hungry for new ideas to improve the province's health-care system — and a solution being proposed in the election campaign is further privatizing the network.

Do it, soon your healthcare can be as shit and ruinous for your people as the American one. It's like walking into a room marked 'warning, full of poisonous snakes.'

Does that mean I will pay no tax or 50% less tax

Further privatizing will only make it worse that's the problem. They stupidly want the kind of health care system they have in the States. Which is none.

How about clearing there CBC Staged Mannequins they use in the hospitals when all this frist started

Bullsit

Privatization won't help with ANYTHING

It isn't taboo, it's just a terrible idea

Private healthcare system is dangerous an does not help those in fix income or seniors. JustinTrudeau MarkGerretsen

How about demanding the Trudeau liberals bring only the skilled immigrants we need at this time.

Stop gaslighting Canadians. Further 'privatizing' the existing National Healthcare system, or making way for a 'private' system to operate in tandem with it, are two different things. EnemyOfThePeople

Here’s a clue to improving medical care: reduce immigration. Simple. You’re welcome.

Just look to any other developed county other than USA. We got to stop claiming we have a great system bye just comparing to them. They're in last place and we're in second last place

So hungry for privatization. So so hungry

'What if we give it to people whose main incentive is to skimp & deny care' yes great idea

In Ontario you are given a choice for an an MRI, you can wait 3-9 months depending what community you can get too, or go to Buffalo and pay for it. Would it not make more sense to have a paid option in Canada?

This seems different in tone to how the concept of privatization in Ontario is written about. 1. It concedes some private service exists 2. It doesn't light it's hair on fire or mention capitalist cronies 3. It implies this might be a good idea Media Reporting Marketing

if we’re going to privatize healthcare then they better reduce our taxes! Half of my pay check is taxes

Get rid of the unions.

hydro was privatized the results awful

Free education

Stop writing this propaganda you ghouls

No. The answer is always no.

“That's the standard technique of privatization: Defund, make sure things don't work, people get angry, you hand it over to private capital.” -Noam Chomsky, 1985

They fired 10's of thousands of staff over stupid mandates, brought the system to a breaking point, dropping the stupid mandates and bribing them wouldn't bring them back. Congrats hypochondriacs you own this.

We think of the current system as public, but the truth is there have been more and more corporations involved in it, making money off it, every year.

NeverVoteConservative

Yes it fkn is!!!

Human resources are limited.

Better idea instead of “Privatizing health”:change politics that have driven for this nonsense!!!

No. Absolutely not.

Where is all the money going if not for actual service to us the people? The ones for whom our medical system is supposed to be for are seemingly last on the list when it comes to service. There's like, what? 50 administrators + for every doctor and nurse. Broken system.

Throw more public money at the problem. That's always worked in the past. Horribly inefficient strategy, but it works.

Everyone loves to complain but nobody ever gives better solutions within their complaint.

This shouldn't be that difficult, we've had the same problems for decades. Rebuild the system, look around the world at best practices, etc.

Don’t do it
