If the hypothesis is that cancer patients in remission have greater risks of tumor relapses post exposure to volatile anaesthetics, wouldn't theater staff with cancers in remission also be at higher risks of tumor relapses?They should also be compared with other non theater staff

I don’t believe that gas anaesthetics, in the levels they are given, for the period that they are given, enhance cancer risk. I smell the manufacturers and proponents of propofol/TIVA. The very fact of doing the study and it appearing in mainstream news, will precipitate change.
