Yep, because as in pre-war England millions use smoky coal or dung fired stoves for cooking and warmth. Modern (coal if necessary) power plants would alleviate that - except we are in the grip of a mass delusion.
Maybe they could use coal power stations outside the cities so women don't have to cook inside over fires that use smokey dried cow shit for fuel.
