The Interim Chief Medical Officer has said that she expects Ireland to receive additional monkeypox vaccines by December. There are only limited supplies here at present.

Speaking on RTÉ's News At One, Professor Breda Smyth said she cannot yet put a specific figure on that allocation.

"At the same time the Department of Health engaged with the European Commission’s Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority and joined the joint procurement process and have secured additional doses of vaccine which we received in July."We continue to engage in that joint procurement process and HERA is expected to receive 54,000 [vaccines] in December of this year of which Ireland will get a supply.

"As we know with Covid, prevention also involves reduction behaviours. With monkeypox infection we would be asking people that they would avoid high risk premises or high-risk events. "But also it would provide a forum to review international evidence, new technologies, new interventions and guidelines internationally so Ireland can have a very robust dynamic response to the monkeypox outbreak."

"I believe the Oireachtas Committee on Health has an appropriate role in scrutinising the minister's plan, as well as being an important public forum for sharing and communicating information. "So that is not where Ireland wants to be, where the community wants to be, that is not where any of us want to be, but that is where we are."

She said it is the same approach that is being taken in the UK and is hopeful that the vaccine will be offered to more people as more supplies become available. The vaccine will be offered to gay and bisexual men, other men who have sex with men, as well as others at high risk of unprotected exposure.

Nintendo uses this tactic to get people with FOMO & Fear to rush out & buy their consoles;'all the while they have warehouses full of the things waiting'... Is this medical chief on 420,000 a year or is that just reserved for people who help out with genocides?..

Here we go again.

But But but how will the people being experimented on again know which one of these not fully authorised or test experimental vaccines is the cause of their adverse reactions they’re suffering from? They are already clogging up the health care services around the world? 🤔

When will the boosters be available?

Monkeypox vaccine supplies limited as rollout to beginLimited supplies of monkeypox vaccine will mean that only around 10% of people at heightened risk will receive a shot when the programme begins in the coming weeks, according to the Clinical Lead of the HSE Sexual Health and Crisis Pregnancy Programme. The same shite again! Ye told them that the other poison was in low supply too. I really hope people aren't this stupid. Time to cop on lads. No need to get it.
