Police were called around 4:30 p.m. Monday to Lakeridge Health’s Ajax-Pickering location, where a boy, 17, and a young woman, 18, had come in with gunshot wounds.
They say another woman, a witness, initially gave them false information, interfering with the investigation. They then arrived at a home on Booker Drive where they learned that the boy had accidentally shot both himself and the girl. Nobody in the residence had a registered gun or gun license.The boy has been charged with aggravated assault and discharging a firearm, reckless to the life or safety of another person.
