Virtual health-care services are being implemented as a result of a temporary physician shortage at the Bonne Bay Health Centre. - Stock ImageCORNER BROOK, N.L. — Western Health is adding virtual ER services to the Bonne Bay Health Centre this week due to doctor shortages.

On-site emergency services will be supported through virtual care at the Bonne Bay Health Centre on Aug. 2 from 8 a.m. to Aug. 3 at 8 a.m. and Aug. 4 from 8 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. A health-care professional will be on hand to help with virtual treatment, Western Health said in a release. Western Health is experiencing a temporary physician shortage at the Bonne Bay Health Centre. On-site emergency services will be supported through a Virtual ER.
