Health Minister Mark Butler said he expects advice on vaccine supply arrangements within weeks

will lead a snap review of Australia’s COVID-19 vaccine and treatment deals, with a report due to be handed to the federal government within weeks.

She is the former secretary of the Department of Finance and former director of Crown Resorts. She also sits on the board of ANZ Banking Group. The review is expected to make recommendations on future procurement strategies, taking into consideration the latest medical advice, and to compare Australia’s purchasing processes with similar jurisdictions.

Pfizer has been granted provisional approval to apply to have its vaccines used for children younger than five in Australia, joining Moderna in the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
