Illinois offering free health care to undocumented immigrants ages 55 to 64

The free health care program was approved by lawmakers in Spring 2021. It is an expansion of Illinois' program to provide health benefits for immigrant seniors.

Covered services include doctor and hospital visits, lab tests, physical and occupational therapy, mental health, substance abuse disorder services, dental and vision services, and prescription drugs.Be either an undocumented immigrant or a legal permanent resident of the United States for less than five years.The free health care will expand even further on July 1 to cover eligible adults ages 42 to 54.

Wow just wow tried to get assistance from the state for my brother. They told us to call back after his birthday he may be eligible then. We'll he died at home by himself yet we can help other that never paid into our system. US citizens break the law we pay fines or go to jail.

In other words if you're a legal U.S. Citizen that works for a living your government is screwing you again. You have to pay for your own health care and theirs. That's the Government for you.......

. All this and in the meantime we have homeless veterans and seniors who can’t afford basic healthcare.

I pay Illinois real estate, and income taxes, can I qualify for this benefit?

America is backwards. Their people first before anyone outside USA

This saves the state money but I still love seeing people lose their minds over this
