THE Department of Health noted an increase in dengue cases in Zamboanga Peninsula, Cagayan Valley, Western Visayas and Davao Region, Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.“Nationally, the weekly reported cases in 2022 were still significantly lower than what we had in 2021...Mayroon pong specific provinces in each of these regions na apektado ng pagtaas ng kaso.

She said the most probable reason for the rise of cases in these areas is the frequent occurrence of rain. She reminded the public about the 4S strategy, which includes search and destroy mosquito-breeding sites, self-protection measures, seek early consultation of symptoms, and support spraying or fogging to prevent further outbreaks.
