PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte warned the public anew against the possible resurgence of coronavirus disease cases due to new emerging variants.

Duterte reiterated the call of the National Government, urging the people to get Covid-19 vaccination and booster doses as protection against severe or critical illness or even deaths due to the disease. “I don’t know if it’s ignorance or it is really a matter of culture. Sabihin mo sa kanila that we honor the culture but when it comes to a head sa ginagawa natin, what we are doing to protect the entire nation, your reluctance or your maybe lack of interest to be vaccinated, it does not, in my book, a valid reason na ayaw ninyo,” Duterte told Galvez.

“Ako, I’ll just state my case...there is no way na masks will not be required. It will be a part of the protocol for a long time until the last day of my office.
