THE BURDEN of dementia is growing at full tilt, but academics have yet to find a cure. Research into the condition has made leaps and bounds in identifying risk factors. In one recent study, four foods have been shown to triple the risk of decline when omitted from any diet.

Those in the group with scores of 1.76 and lower typically consumed higher amounts of anti-inflammatory foods.
