Queensland's recently announced vaccine mandate is"making a difference" to inoculation rates in the state, Health Minister Yvette D'Ath said.
"What that shows is that the Palaszczuk government's policy to mandate the vaccine for a number of hospitality, different venues and of course visiting our aged care and our hospitals, that this is making a difference and encouraging people to come out and get vaccinated. Across Queensland, 81.11 per cent of residents aged 16 and over have received their first COVID-19 vaccine dose and 69.39 per cent are fully vaccinated.
Queensland was slated to hit the 70 per cent double-dose mark on November 19 but that is now likely to occur days earlier. Meanwhile, Queensland recorded no new community cases on Saturday but concerns remain over two mystery infections acquired on the Gold Coast this week.
China is controlling Australia. Sad.
