One in five Americans now say they're anti-vaxxers. As resistance expands beyond COVID, health experts call the potential impact 'extremely concerning.' Read it here:

"I saw a baby today who didn't get their first vaccine in the hospital because the parents didn't want to give it, and then I saw a 14-year-old for a sports physical who had not gotten the COVID vaccine and was due for an HPV and a meningitis vaccine but the mom declined both of those," Heidelbaugh says.

US President Joe Biden give remarks on COVID-19 response & vaccinations in the State Dining Room of the White House on June 18, 2021.It's more difficult to persuade vaccine-hesitant parents like those he's encountering than it used to be, Heidelbaugh says, because their political views make them unreceptive to medical information that contradicts whatever they've heard from conservative or social media.

Another challenge vaccine proponents face is new data showing no recent uptick in various preventable childhood diseases over the past year when many children did not get their vaccinations on schedule.

"There are some pediatric practices that now refuse to have kids in their practice whose parents have refused to vaccinate," she says."That's a trend that the American Academy of Pediatrics worries about because those children also need quality providers. But pediatricians say they can't have situations where under-vaccinated children are sitting in my waiting room and could potentially bring in measles to a vulnerable population.

Never heard anyone say 'I'm anti-vax' I've heard people say 'I'm anti-mandate' though, and say 'I choose not to have the vaccine for myself' where are you getting your information from Newsweek?

False choice... Freedom of Choice becomes limited choice when you affect other people by your choice.

who controls the media

Supreme Court in 1905 ruled that the government can in fact enforce a vaccine mandate in the interest of public health. Justice John Marshall Harlan delivered the decision for a 7–2 majority that the Massachusetts law did not violate the 14th Amendment.

We can make everyone happy by ensuring that all those not vaccinated get COVID. Will help build herd immunity and we can see if Ivermectin actually works.

There is good reason.

“Health Experts” seem to be suffering from a paranoia disorder. They are extremely concerning, and may be a danger to themselves and others 🤨

Anti-vaxxers are just a strange breed, most of them wrong about their beliefs on vaccine saying they have done their research, yeah right, research on SocialMedia and that's just NOT research, it's a joke

p2cat Drama queens and biohazards.

Just read this opinion piece by benjaminwitts the screams pre-bias tendencies. Many will SEE how prejudice & racist will try 2 use covid as a cover 2 be who they really are. But truth always reveals itself. mandates r covers 4 discrimination

they will get covid like all the anti vaxxxers do and cry for the vaccine

It's a government mandate, not a 'man date' and no one is literally 'trying to force' anything down your throat : TNGOP State Rep. Jeremy Faison stable after car crash [2019]

This is what happens when you make healthcare a political weapon 🤨

allahpundit I suspect there also are quite a few who are not anti-vax in any way, but won't take it themselves due to either already having Covid antibodies, or a wait for longer term studies of mRNA technology. This group encourage the vax for all who are at risk of serious C-19.

allahpundit Do they also forgo vaccines for polio? Or is it just this vaccine-- because they're the mark?

ClayreInABQ Mandate them back to their caves. I don't want them in our schools, our stores, our workplace or our military. They don't have any right to put the rest of humanity at risk.

Suicide by COVID-19.

Every single news outlet in our country needs to have a series of serious discussions about mental health. There will always be people who are mentally unwell, but having 20% of our population DENYING reality is a big deal.

Great, Measles is going to make a comeback...

Their body their choice

Those who so proudly claim they are against vaccination are the cowardly, ignorant people who have damaged civilization since the beginning of mankind.

Imagine if the Rethuglicans had not politicized the pandemic. More people alive. The side effects to the economy not as severe. It’s sad. Then they whine my body my choice while denying women the same rights.

DONALD'S WORSHIPERS, HAVE THE CHOICE TO LIVE OR NOT.

I would be okay with people being anti-vax, if it only affected them and not anyone else But their decisions affects the rest of us
