PUTRAJAYA: More than two million people in Malaysia have recovered from Covid-19 since the pandemic began, reports the Health Ministry on Monday (Sept 27).

In his daily Covid-19 statement, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 16,430 patients were discharged from treatment on Monday.

With 10,959 new cases reported, Malaysia has seen Covid-19 recoveries outnumber new cases for the 11th day straight. Only two states reported a four-digit case increase - Sarawak with 2,723 cases and Johor with 1,226 cases.Kuala Lumpur continued reporting low case numbers, with 298 new infections reported.
