Sydneysiders encouraged to bring forward second AstraZeneca dose

Professor Kelly said clinical trials show 12 weeks is the optimal time to wait between doses for long-term protection. That remains the national advice but Sydney is a different case.

Australian Medical Association president Omar Khorshid backed the change in advice but admitted the messaging was not ideal. A federal Department of Health spokesman did not answer how much a shorter period between doses would reduce the longevity of protection, instead advising people to consult their GP about when to get their second shot.

Try getting an appointment. Stop making this about the people, as they are doing the right thing. The politicians screwed this up, from failing to vaccinate essential workers, to failing to have proper quarantine, to failure to assist people and businesses in new lockdowns. FAIL!
