The Australian Medical Association has backed the NSW Premier in urging people aged over 50 who are hesitant about getting the AstraZeneca jab not to wait in the hope they can get the Pfizer vaccine instead.
Dr McMullen said while a small proportion of people were still holding out for the Pfizer jab, the majority had been persuaded to get the AstraZeneca vaccine after they learned the potential risk of any clotting problems was "tiny". She told the inquiry it was such a concern she decided it wasn't worth the risk to have another child.

Wife and are waiting for Pfizer, clot took mother in law out so she isn't going to have AZ, i'm not keen on it as well.
I've had one dose of AZ already. Another five weeks to wait for the second dose. I only had to have one Polio vaccination and one Smallpox vaccination to be covered in days gone by. I wish they had made one dose vaccines. So much more acceptable.

Pfizer doesn't protect against the Indian variant - though it does reduce the severity of symptoms. AstraZeneca is overwhelmingly safe. Ask your doctor. Not morons on Twitter.
The ‘waiting for Pfizer’ people really need to read up on current real world data showing how effective and safe AZ is. Go to your GP if you are concerned. This anti vaccine campaign against AZ is putting Australia at risk.
