Australians must be prepared to accept some spoiled doses during the vaccine program, according to Health Minister Greg Hunt.

Australia's second shipment of Pfizer vaccines has arrived, and another is expected next weekHealth minister Greg Hunt said there will be some doses lost in the rolloutThat will enable Australia to dispense 80,000 doses per week for the next two weeks, according to Mr Hunt, before shipments AstraZeneca arrive in mid-March to double the rate of doses per week.

Global demand for vaccines has put pressure on supply, but Mr Hunt said Pfizer representatives have given the government "good, strong confidence" in continued deliveries in coming weeks. "If you're worried about anything, talk to your GP, talk to your specialist, but, like me, get the advice that it's safe, get vaccinated and, as Anthony said, it's really a public health imperative."

I can understand the PM getting the jab to show Australians he is confident the vaccine is safe, but what about all the other queue jumping pollies, why are they more deserving?

Well, yeah. Given who is running it, hiccups are inevitable. There will also probably be some unmitigated screw ups.
