Woman claiming to be Samy Vellu’s common-law wife fails in second bid to be intervenor in his mental health case

Judge Wong dismissed the application based on grounds that his decision in dismissing the earlier application was final, the lawyer told reporters after the hearing of the application today.He said his client had filed an appeal on Sept 18 against the dismissal of her first application, and would also file an appeal against today’s decision.

The application was made by Vell Paari in the suit he filed against Samy Vellu for the court to declare that his father was incapable of managing his own affairs. He also sought a court order to find out if his father is capable of giving orders to his lawyer to act on his behalf and to determine the types of property his father owned.
