The students in halls could do themselves a huge benefit and stop the virus spreading simply by wearing a face mask or face shield , stop blaming everyone else for your predicament , use some basic common sense.for Christ sake.

BreesAnna Confining students to halls is going to affect both physical + mental health. Moreover, students capacity to focus and absorb the gravity of the situation will be restrained. Under no circumstances should students be under de facto house arrest. They should be home with family.

No sympathy for those who think they know better.

An isolation period...just got to be patient....more concerned with not getting value for money...

What a poignant article. Awful. My best wishes for all the young students.

BreesAnna I don’t understand how anybody would want their kids to go through that. Take a year...or two...or three off until some kind of normalcy returns. How much do you think they are learning with all the covid distractions? Masks and social distancing 101.

Aided and abetted by the mass overreaction of the MSM. How many media outlets have really challenged the government/scientists?

BreesAnna False imprisonment..

My daughter is at University of Manchester has been told now that she is not allowed access to laundry facilities on site until her isolation period ends in 10 days time.

BreesAnna I wonder that these side effects were not carefully considered when ordering broad scale lockdowns and quarantines all over the world. Sort of obvious..

Bless their little cotton socks

Then send them home.
