Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is reportedly set to resign from his position as he fights ongoing health issues.

He suffers from a chronic inflammatory bowel condition which caused him to make two hospital visits in a week, with one lasting up to eight hours.

The only problems in Agedcare homes in Victoria has been Dan Andrews incompetence in letting Covid escape quarantine to the community.

Health Minister addresses contention over federal-state aged care responsibility | Sky News AustraliaRebutting accusations the federal government was responsible for COVID-19 outbreaks in Nursing Homes, Health Minister Greg Hunt highlighted the “regulatory” role played by the Commonwealth in relation to the aged care sector. \n\nLabor MP Julie Collins claimed, “under the Prime Minister's own emergency response document for COVID-19, his government is responsible for aged care infection control guidelines”.\n\n“Victoria's chief medical officer has revealed that poor infection practise is the main driver of infection in aged care,” she said. \n\nIn response, the Health Minister pointed out section 4.1.4 of the pandemic health plan which clearly stated “the Australian government will also be responsible for residential aged care facilities, working with other healthcare providers to set standards to promote the safety and securities of people in aged care”.\n\n“State and territory governments are responsible for the operational aspects of public health responses, implementing infection control guidelines and healthcare safety and quality standards”. \n\n“The state and territory departments of health, public health section in the department will act in an advisory role to assistance residential aged care facilities to detect, characterise and manage COVID-19 outbreaks'. \n\nMr Hunt said he wanted to draw attention to the “shared responsibilities” which must be accepted by both the state and federal governments regarding aged care. \n\n “We carry out the regulatory functions of aged care”.\n\nThe Health Minister highlighted the surge workforce activated for the benefit of public hospitals, the private hospitals agreement and the national testing contract as critical measures implemented by the Commonwealth.\n\nImage: Getty GregHuntMP Yeah no that sounds like making excuses mate GregHuntMP 'We only regulate nursing homes'.
