A huge number of staff at a major Melbourne hospital have been forced to isolate after a serious COVID-19 outbreak that’s left at least 50 infected.

news.com.au can confirm that a mammoth 618 staff have been furloughed.Staff who have tested positive have reportedly been working in coronavirus wards.The hospital was alerted to an increased number of cases in staff on August 16.

Days later Peninsula Health chief executive Felicity Topp said the hospital was in the final stages of that process. reports some speciality surgery units have been left without staff and patients are being transferred to the The Alfred hospital or Monash Health services.

Uhm...yes this is the workplace where it’s spreading, but it’s expected I guess. So why shut down the workplaces where it can be controlled?

Very poor infection practice even in hospitals.

99.5% of those infections will be mild or less symptoms. Keep that hysteria going.
