An independent inquiry into last summer’s catastrophic bushfire crisis put forward 76 recommendations concerning hazard reduction. NSW Premier Gladys Berejikilian on Tuesday said her government would adopt all the 76 recommendations. “The regulations and indeed the legislation that may be amended to ensure that occurs in a practical sense will be brought before the house, the premier has given me a six-week framework to do that,” Mr Elliot told Sky News host Paul Murray.

Brisbane Youth Detention Centre cluster grows to nine | Sky News AustraliaA coronavirus cluster linked to the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre has grown to nine cases after two family members of an infected worker tested positive to the virus. \n\nNo detainees returned a positive test at the Wacol facility however some were still awaiting results. \n\nQueensland Health released a contact tracing alert for dozens of businesses including supermarkets, gyms, shopping centres and a Bunnings centre across Brisbane, Ipswich and Logan, asking anyone who attended those venues at a particular time to get tested if they develop any symptoms. \n\nThe detention centre’s entire workforce will be swapped out in an operation lead by the Department of Justice, Qld Police and Corrective Services. \n\nImage: News Corp Australia
