Latinos make up 39% of the population in the most populous U.S. state, but account for 56% of COVID-19 infections and 46% of deaths, the California Health and Human Services secretary, Dr. Mark Ghaly, said in a conference call with reporters. Experts said a perfect storm of workplace issues and cultural traditions in the Central Valley has led to a crush of cases that has devastated many families. Many Latinos in the Central Valley are poor, working in industries such as agriculture that have been deemed essential during the pandemic.
And I’m sure it has something to do with some Latinos live 6-10 to a house and I’ve seen them in cars with 4-6 people. More chance to get around someone that has it.
You can’t have a small group when there’s 4 families and 3 generations in one house

Cuz they're more likely to work in service industries. And tons of people they interact with are careless.
You can add the many Latinos escaping the Covid in Mexico bringing it to CA Latino neighborhoods

I have a Latina friend who follows a lot of Latin social media and news. The stuff coming out of there is ridiculous to do against the virus. A Latin contractor I know said to not worry about the virus and if you get sick to give your sinuses a steam bath(?) Or use hair dryer 🤷🏻♀️
They work the essential jobs. Makes sense.
