NSW extends tough restrictions to all indoor hospitality venues | Sky News AustraliaNew South Wales clubs and all indoor hospitality venues will be subject to tightened restrictions from next Friday. \n\nPremier Gladys Berejiklian announced on Friday all lockdown measures – including bookings of up to 10 people – would be extended to restaurants and cafes in an effort to “minimise the risk of those activities we know super-spread the virus, those activities indoors we know act as a catalyst”. \n\nUnder the new measures, weddings and corporate events would be capped at 150 guests and funerals and places of worship limited to 100 attendees. \n\nThe Premier also insisted that all patrons would be required to abide strictly by the four-square-metre rule and all function attendees should remain seated. \n\nShe said while up to 20 people would still be allowed to gather in a home, the state health advice recommended 10 guests were a safe maximum. \n\n“We have to appreciate that once this disease gets into the community it moves very, very quickly and in ways in which we can’t always predict,” Ms Berejiklian said. \n\n“We have to assume there’s a level of community transmission and these measures will reduce the risk of that community transmission getting out of control.” \n\nNSW recorded eight new cases of the coronavirus in the past 24 hours. \n\nImage: News Corp Australia \n\n Too late some might say
