DAVAO CITY - The Department of Health-Davao Center for Health Development (DOH-DCHD) reported 14 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the region on Friday.

– The Department of Health-Davao Center for Health Development reported 14 new cases of coronavirus disease in the region on Friday.

The DOH said eight new cases were recorded in Davao City, and six were recorded in Davao Oriental, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 587. Based on the DOH’s daily regional situation update as of 5:00 pm Friday, 358 persons were tested on that day and 15 turned out positive. “Of these 15 new confirmed cases, one is not a resident of Davao Region, thus this case will be tagged to his place of residence,” the DOH Davao Center said.Meanwhile, the DOH also recorded seven recoveries as of 5 p.m. on Friday. Among those who were discharged on Friday was a 13-year-old boy from Barangay Agdao Proper here. The boy was admitted on June 14.
