While the public health community has long supported the creation of an AusCDC, it has repeatedly fallen foul of state and federal politics. NSW and Victoria have consistently held any CDC should be based in their respective states, while others have argued for Canberra.

The idea of a CDC in Australia is a good one. Currently we have different States/Territories enacting their own measures.
The missing element of our covid strategy is the use of masks. Hong Kong has had 9 deaths, in a State that is densely populated & with minimal shutdowns. They even have had Chinese Tourists visit. If MASKS are so bad, why do Nurses/Doctors wear them?
