PETALING JAYA: It is compulsory for Malaysians returning from abroad to wear wristbands during the 14-day quarantine period at home.

Health Ministry director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said only authorised personnel can remove the wristband, after test results returned negative.

"Those placed under surveillance and monitoring must strictly observe the conditions imposed to protect others staying in the household," he said.He said those wearing the wristbands must remain at home, and isolate themselves from others in the same household.Dr Noor Hisham said it was important for individuals, family members, and members of the community to observe precautionary measures to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission.
