PETALING JAYA: Although up to 20 people are allowed to gather for festivals in the same state, the Health Ministry says attendees must be from the same family and that social distancing must be maintained.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that while the authorities have allowed up to 20 people to gather, the number of attendees is dependent on the physical space available.

“The most important thing is to follow the Health Ministry guidelines, which is to maintain social distancing. He emphasised that senior citizens must also be taken care of, and this would mean refraining from offering physical expressions of affection.

hope there will be no number rise of new covid cases after hari raya...

No no no!! No one allow...supposedly

maksud dia mgkn family as in mak ayah anak menantu cucu je, bkn yg sedara mara family besar2, yg kbtln daerah or negeri sama. bkn atuk sedara, or group family yg da ada family sndri.

I wonder how this can b controlled or determined who is family member & who is not. This will fail Dato. Including d max 20 per house. It will not happen.

How will anyone know if all are 'family members'? How far down the family tree will be allowed to gather?

Government should ask all the private & international schools to reduce the term fees by 50% or less .. we re struggling to find the payment even they demanding full term fees 😭🙏

Kesian kat DGHisham. Buat mcm2 lps tu menteri buat keputusan bodoh. Klu dah benarkan kunjung-mengunjung tak lebih 20 orang setiap rumah, boleh agak tak apa yg akan berlaku nanti kpd kadar jangkitan?

Good luck. We know otherwise.

If just one year we can’t visit we won’t die! Let’s be sensible and wait to eradicate the virus and then think about parties/open house gatherings etc. Everyone needs to work together on this and not be selfish. Be patient and stay safe

Gov and KMM is dilemma. They hope everyone can met their family in this festive but at the same times worry the pandemic will become worst. All the family member should check their own health before visiting. Reduce the risk and stay at home so you can safely visit yr old parent

It’s sad that there are so many netizens who cants differentiate using ur common sense when guidelines has been placed. So much stupidity

Really asking for trouble and pity the families... Visiting is really not safe now. Too soon. DGHisham

But the PM said includes neighbours!

Susah nak kawal ni. Bukan semua celik hal ni. They will just see this as law loophole to gather.

A good news but.. still looking forward to a clearer SOP! 💪🏻 We understand that decision-making is not easy, it takes time and energy!

Penannya DG ini, minister semua tak bagi SOP yang clear . Hari hari perlu DG nasihat .

Reasonable for family to gather assuming we know the standing of family health conditions

Will be very tough to control that. Hmm 🤨 hope will be well.
