Caregivers should take greater care of themselves as caregiving is tough but being sick while caring for others is even tougher. FMTNews FMTLifestyle

Studies have shown that taking care of an elderly loved one can negatively affect a caregiver’s health.

The worry about getting the flu coupled with the everyday stress of caring for an elderly, can place one in an increased risk of developing an illness. When a caregiver develops health issues, the elderly person’s health often suffers as well, especially forlike Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and other diseases.
