PETALING JAYA: The Health Ministry is concerned about Malaysians living in zones free of Covid-19, also known as green zones, becoming complacent.

“Green zone residents are starting to take things lightly because there has not been any new cases reported .

“Covid-19 is our common enemy, but we must remember that negligence and taking things lightly are allies with this virus,” he said. “There are currently 36 patients being treated in the intensive care unit, with 16 on ventilator support,” he said. At present, the ministry conducts 16,385 tests a day using the Real-Time Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction technique.
