Wear a homemade one no difficult

So that's the real reason

Vicious circle.

The wold needed covid-19 for peace to return on earth as the West concentrates on the pandemic instead of fueling conflicts for business and Geopolitics. However the risk of new wars and rebellions is very high as they will seek to replenish. Watching

Really exposing the delusions of grandeur some have about the UK. Can't even supply adequate face masks.

The UK Gov would do better to prepare for actions before announcing them.

More to do with government incompetence in the supply of ppe, than the argument for the wearing of face masks, which should be used when lockdown is partially lifted.

And that's why they say there's no evidence they work. Liars

This is ridiculous. Of course people will buy themselves masks to protect themselves. Is the UK so backward and broken that it cannot equip it's NHS workers with enough flimsy masks?

Wear a cloth mask in public NOT NHS certified mask.

NOT SO.. public masks are simple cloth masks. NHS masks need to be to CE standard and have NPF stated. And if we had worn simple masks in early stages. There would have been less cases=less death.. less demand on NHS See USA Surgeon General demo how to make a mask masks4alluk

Come on - look over the fence and see how it is done in Thailand

1 elastic band 1 piece of kitchen roll. I'd recommend plenty or thirst pockets but one of those were told not flush down the bog. hey presto 1 effective face mask

Was that not the reason we were all lied to in Feb? Think every news outlet had atleast 1 story on how n95 masks were not necessarily and how surgical masks provided even less protection.

Making public wear masks would prevent many getting sick and passing to those who end up in hospital and therefore reduce L/T hospital burden. Look at Thailand, highest public mask use, less than 30 new hospital cases per day

The bullshit from the experts, masks don't help, well in that case why is the NHS wearing them, well if the public wear them we don't have any. Ergo point one. The cockwombles in charge need holding to account for the repeated lies. I'll keep wearing my mask

Simply just make and supply masks.start fucking manufacturing them idiots.its possible.jeebus

People can make their own masks. These might not be as 'comfortable' or as effective but are much! better than nothing. The selfmade masks still reduce the risk of spreading Covid strongly. Every little helps!

It does only blurring the gaps.

rafa_cavada Díganselo a Lavin y todos esos alcaldes que ya dictaron ordenanzas obligando a su uso

It doesn’t have to be medical masks, everyone just cover your fuking mouths. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND.

Maybe we could make some more then...surely it’s not beyond us!

We are prepared and ready ... they said.... WTF is going on? Where is the tax payers money going if not to out NHS? Simple question.

Results of South Korea scientists and doctors' research : The coronavirus can be airborne. That's why we have to wear a mask. So all S.K people wear a kf94(=n95) level mask since in january.

Everyone can wear a mask, it's a little thing we can do to protect all of us but especially the most vulnerable.

spreading virus freely could jeopardise NHS

Of course, public shouldn't buy N95/surgical masks while shortage for HCW. Many buy cloth face coverings on Some sew their own (see video). US Surgeon General has video for no-sew homemade mask. Search for 'make a mask'. Masks4All

making users make their own masks won't jeopardise anything

So, never mind the production of masks, let the market have its way and if the health workers complain not having enough maeks, let the general public die without them. Wise, so wise, a kind of Titanic wise way to catastrophe.

There’s only about a thousand YouTube videos on how to make masks and a thousand people on the internet willing to sell you homemade cloth masks.

Just encourage folks to make and wear their own cloth ones. It can help remind them not to touch their faces, if nothing else, and it offers minimal protection against airborne droplets. JUST WASH THEM REGULARLY. Be well. ;)

Make your own.

hardly anyone in Australia are wearing masks and our infection rates are heading to zero. Unless you are wearing full PPE you are wasting your time and taking masks from the healthcare workers who need them

Making public wear masks could jeopardise NHS supply, but will save lives

Well then f’ing fix it! There’s no excuse for shortages. Get it ogether like yesterday

Privatize the NHS.

But would it save lives, personally I think it would especially in crowded situations like supermarkets which in turn would save NHS LIVES

Make more!

and our safety. how to recognise these guys?

maybe the Tories could try buying in enough masks to keep the whole country safe (as many others do) as opposed to dismissing their effectiveness

Wow this sounds familiar. Love, New York City

Wearing a mask is dehumanizing, a violation of individual rights and possibly counterproductive. I won't wear one. My body, my choice.

People can make their own masks so the argument is invalid.

Vital delivery of 84 tonnes of protective equipment for NHS is delayedA delivery of 84 tonnes of PPE for frontline medical staff will not be arriving today as planned. We should be making this stuff here instead of begging other countries for it! There was a time when we taught the world how to make stuff like this! Yeah, nobody cares. This is boring. I'm bored! Has Trump pirated another shipment of medical supplies destined for another country?
