Don’t ignore dengue threat amid Covid-19 crisis, says expert | The Malaysian Insight

A university public health expert has urged Malaysians to not lose sight of the threat of dengue fever amid the Covid-19 crisis, saying it spreads much faster and similarly has no cure. – AFP pic, April 20, 2020.

WITH global attention riveted on the deadly Covid-19 pandemic, other infectious and equally lethal diseases like dengue are being marginalised. Like Covid-19, for which no cure has been discovered yet, there is no specific treatment for dengue too although the vector-borne disease has reportedly been in existence since 1902.
