COVID-19: Death toll rises to 1025 in Africa as cases hit 20,270 - Daily Post Nigeria

Africa CDC stated this in a tweet on its official Twitter handle on Saturday evening.

According to the tweet, COVID-19 has killed 1025 people in Africa, while a total of 4,701 patients have recovered from the deadly disease across the continent. The Northern region is now the highest in the continent, with 745 deaths, followed by Western region with 119 deaths, Southern region with 61 deaths, while Central region follows with 54 deaths and Eastern region with 46 deaths._AfricanUnion Member States reporting 20,270 cases, 1025 deaths, and 4,701 recoveries,” the health agency tweeted.of Coronavirus on Saturday night. 166 patients have been discharged with 19 deaths as at Saturday night.
