The UK was supposedly ill-prepared for this pandemic because of austerity, but the Asian countries that have been most successful at responding to coronavirus have lower levels of healthcare spending | matthewlesh

But the countries that have been most successful at responding to Covid-19, the Asian tigers, have relatively low levels of healthcare spending. Singapore spends half as much as the United Kingdom as a proportion of the economy. Taiwan , Hong Kong , and South Korea spend less too.

matthewlesh Options: (1) Move to one these smaller, better countries. (2) Stand as an MP, get elected, create a party big enough to win a majority, become the new govt, increase taxes, run the NHS better. (3) Stand on the sidelines and complain.
