The two new cases were both residents of Cebu City and were contacts of a confirmed case, the Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development reported Saturday.
Bernadas noted that the total negative cases in Central Visayas increased to 21m and there was no additional death. Total mortality due to COVID-19 in the region remained at eight. Bernadas also highlighted that, in terms of laboratory negative test results, Cebu City has the highest number of cases that have already cleared the virus from their system with 14 of the 21 confirmed laboratory negatives.
He further urged the public to continue following government guidelines and protocols such as for the sick citizens, self-isolation while not yet seeking consult should be strictly followed.
