PANDAN, Catanduanes – Mayor Honesto Tabligan and the Rural Health Unit (RHU) here have crafted a plan for stricter checking of persons under monitoring (PUM) in line with the goverment's call to mitigate the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

, Catanduanes – Mayor Honesto Tabligan and the Rural Health Unit here have crafted a plan for stricter checking of persons under monitoring in line with the goverment’s call to mitigate the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 .Under the plan, RHU personnel would be putting a plastic name tag on the PUM, where his basic information would be written along with the end date of quarantine period.

Municipal Health Officer, Ma. Theresa Mariano shared that this undertaking was crafted so that it would be easy to identify and monitor the PUM if ever they were seen roaming outside during their quarantine period. Moreover, a daily monitoring board could be maintain to record the status of the PUM in every barangay.He added that all persons arriving from outside the town should be immediately report to the Barangay Health Emergency Response Team and RHU for immediate action.

To date, the municipality records 429 PUMs, who have finished their 14-day quarantine period, while eight were still undergoing quarantine.
