ILOILO CITY – Every Sunday, starting April 12, the 11 towns in northern Iloilo province will observe total quarantine to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

– Every Sunday, starting April 12, the 11 towns in northern Iloilo province will observe total quarantine to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 .

The “Quinto Sunday Total Quarantine” will take effect Sunday, April 12, after the Northern Iloilo Alliance for Coastal Development , which is composed of the local governments of 11 towns, adopted a joint memorandum. The joint memo was signed by mayors Jett Rojas of Ajuy town, Manuel Ganzon of Balasan town, Nielo Tupas of Barotac Viejo town, Elvira Alarcon of Batad town, Siegfredo Betita of Carles town, Raul Banias of Concepcion town, Melina Requinto of Estancia town, Oscar Villegas Jr. of Lemery town, Larry Villaneuva of San Dionisio town, Roberto Belleza Jr. of San Rafael town, and Jon Aying of Sara town.
