More than 10,000 people have responded to Israeli Adi Karmon Scope’s Facebook plea to help overworked health-care professionals on the frontline of the country’s battle against the coronavirus pandemic.
In Israel, more than 10,000 people have contracted the coronavirus and 92 have died. The government has imposed severe restrictions on movement to try to quell the rapid spread, including a near-closure on especially vulnerable neighborhoods. “We’ve seen all the medical teams in Italy and in China and we kind of wanted to make sure that our medical teams are taken care of, all their personal lives are taken care of so they can really focus only on being professional and at their best in the hospitals,” said Karmon Scope.
