lpolgreen Senators are Federal, not state

But leave the beaches open! So a bunch of selfish punks can get shit faced for Spring break? That's not a health concern?

What kind of 'leader' using the term LOOSELY here, BEGS ? GROW a PAIR Florida LEADERS - PARENTS of these CHILDREN - take responsibility for YOUR KIDS...if you can...probably are partying there with them.......so stupid

Close the beaches NOW! The state of Florida is being totally irresponsible. The people on the beach will get on planes and fly back to homes all over the country. What are the chances no one on those beaches gets infected with the virus.

It's pretty remarkable how many commenters believe a U.S. Senator has any sort of authority whatsoever to close a state beach.

They are thinking that if they aren't forced to do the right thing then they will pass. Thanks. Do your job.

Population control! Good riddance to the fools crowding the beaches. Just stay there and don't contaminate the people with sense enough to be doing what they should.

What is that going to to do? Why can’t you mandate it?

Everyone keeps saying, 'young people' are being ignorant when boomers in Kentucky who have the Coronavirus won't quarantine themselves. We should all just go on quarantine involuntarily tbh.

lpolgreen Why were the beaches even open to begin with?

That's the point, they read and are thinking

he could close them...

Where are their PARENTS They don’t know where their children are!

What's this twit blabbing about now?

What your dumbbell-in-chief told them not to long ago...

Ohio’s Republican governor is having no problem closing what needs close to minimize exposure and try to save lives in the long run. Be a leader and close your beaches, bars, clubs and protect your citizen’s! Lives are LITERALLY at stake!

If only there were something he could do!!

lpolgreen Dude... they are thinking you didn’t close the beaches. That’s how political leadership works- they look to you got signals about how to behave.

And it’s not jus young people. It’s ignorant boomers as well CoronaVirusBeach

I have a crazy idea, CLOSE THE BEACHES

Close the beaches. What’s the problem? SenRickScott

Sign an order bozo
