Aust announces new coronavirus travel ban on Iran | Sky News Australia

Australia is escalating its response to the coronavirus, announcing a new travel ban on foreigners arriving from Iran after a Queensland woman who travelled to Iran contracted the disease.

The 63 year old beautician is believed to have exposed up to 40 people at a salon and Qld Health is urging anyone who visited Hair Plus in Australia Fair Shopping Centre to come forward. The global risk of the virus is now at the highest possible level and the World Health Organisation announced it has spread to more than 50 countries, infecting more than 80,000 people and killed 2,800. The WHO have delayed declaring a pandemic and said the disease can be contained if countries act quickly.
