Alejandra Solis had left her wedding and engagement rings for her two children in her will
The cruel burglars trashed the home in Bramhall, Stockport, in the early hours of December 27, and made off with jewellery she had left to children, Oscar, nine, and Lydia, five, in her will. Alejandra has stage four breast cancer and said the burglary is the last thing she needed as she is awaiting a major operation this month Alejandra said: ‘It’s been exhausting. They made a mess. They emptied every draw in the house, even the fridge and freezer.‘They stole my great grandmother’s wedding ring. You can’t ever replace that. It’s just horrible.
‘They stole my engagement ring which I hoped Lydia would wear, Peter [her husband] would have handed it over to her boyfriend in due time. She was terrified when doctors told her she had between two to five years to live but a second consultant has been more positive and suggested 10 years, after starting a trial for a new type of chemotherapy.The mother has documented her journey on her blog, The very honest diary of a mum dealing with cancer, and has used it to appeal to the public to help get her jewellery back.
