Republicans in the US state of Ohio have introduced a bill that requires doctors to 'reimplant an ectopic pregnancy' into a woman's uterus or face a change of 'abortion murder.'

Earlier this year, Ohio passed a bill banning abortions as early as six weeks, a time when many women may not know they are pregnant. But it was eventually blocked by a federal judge.

Since President Donald Trump came to power, he has appointed two conservative justices to the Supreme Court, tipping it in the conservative's favour.Pro-abortion group Ohio Right to Life has welcomed recent moves taken by Republican politicians in Ohio.

This is sheer madness and more christian conservative la la land dangerous rubbish. Is it even possible..I think not. I don’t think medical technology exists to move an ectopic pregnancy from outside the uterus to the uterus. These Republicans are insane.

'i'm not american'

LoveNotGreed Wow America! You can’t be serious! It’s impossible!!!

Happy to risk the mothers life to protect their religious beliefs. Just what you want in a politician elected to represent the people.

Do we want religion to have an influence on legislation in this country? Asking for no religion. auspol

WTF! This is inconceivable. Are these Republicans real? Can someone certify them and shut them up.

Can someone please remind me why we all sit back and let our governments control us like a science project? Why are we letting this system and these people control every aspect of our lives? We all think we are a free society, this couldn't be further from the truth.

This is what religion in politics looks like.

This is outrageous. There needs to be new legislation that deems a foetus to be an 'unborn human' in order to allow the most humane medical procedures to be performed without prejudice to health care professionals, in the best interests of the mother and foetus.

LoveNotGreed Another Dark Age coming to you.

Those republicans should listen to doctors that say it can't be done. That article contains a small error, Ohio Right to Life is an anti abortion group, not a pro abortion group

FuckingMorons...

GOP are evil people. No wonder they are led by scum like realDonaldTrump 👎

Says a bunch of crusty white dudes that don’t even know how it all works..

God help America 🆘

Republican insanity

Mate, America is fucked up

“Required” procedures such as these really challenge a person’s right to autonomy and potentially even risks two lives considering the nature of ectopic pregnancies

Once the Fallopian tube has ruptured due to ectopic foetus, the reimplantation to the uterus of a 6-10 week foetus would be compromised by dead foetus, placenta grown into resected fallopian tube, problems with uterine myotomy. If failed uptake, risks of infection, miscarriage.

Forced medical procedures? In a democracy? They are shirking the real duties of their jobs to insert themselves into medicine, intrude into personal lives, ignore the basic right of body sovereignty...to control women. Vile abuse of power, AND a waste of taxpayer resources.

Is this even serious? OMFG!!!!

Oh gawd America

Incredibly triggering to those who have suffered life-threatening and fertility-destroying ectopic pregnancies. How can they legislate for something medically impossible? You can’t “reimplant” an embryo anymore that you’d expect a body to regrow a lost limb.

Heaven forbid we recognize a fetus as an unborn child. I mean, if we did that, we might have to stop killing them. auspol pmlive outsiders

Weirder & weirder. Only in America. Oh wait...
