As a physician and a runner I fully support all of these trends. We need to take control of our own wellness by being thoughtful and educated about our health from all angles. Medicine spends too much time (and money) diagnosing/treating disease and not enough preventing it.

Why so much focus on hiring professionals? A running coach, a 'health and wellness coach' AND a personal trainer?! How inaccessible that is for most Americans. Just get outside and move!
