— Two lawmakers have called on the country's military and police training institutions to allow government doctors to check on the health of every cadet.
"We ask the Public Attorney's Office and Philippine General Hospital to go to the PMA now to render legal and medical assistance. We implore upon the PMA to give the PAO and PGH unfettered access to the cadets, especially the Fourth Class Cadets," Garbin said in a statement. The PMA has been rocked by controversies following the fatal hazing of freshman cadet Darwin Dormitorio in September.
"The PNP and PNPA should have every PNPA cadet undergo medical examination now," Herrera-Dy said in a statement.
