Tom, who was also born with spinal condition spina bifida, has no job, family or support from housing 💔

A disabled homeless man who struggles to stay clean due to a medical issue has been banned from staying at his local night shelter.

He is not allowed to stay at the local shelter overnight because of ‘on-going hygiene issues’, forcing him to camp on the streets in freezing weather. Opening up about his ordeal on Sky News he said: ‘In the evenings when everything is closed when I need to use a loo, that makes it very difficult for me, I deal with it as best as I can.Advertisement

At least 320,000 people are homeless in Britain, according to research by the housing charity Shelter.

His MP should take up his problem.

What do journalists do in situations like this? Get the story and leave? Did they offer Tom any help?

The article doesn't mention the fact that Tom was helped by the Council before and did have an accommodation but, as he says, he made some 'bad choices' and was growing cannabis inside his flat. So Tom did have support but he made other choices..

This type of individuals are so worth funding

Homelessness has increased 165% in less than a decade since Tory came to power!! Record 1.6m food bank parcels given to people in the past year alone which is another 19% since last year alone! Staggering statistics...

We need to find a solution to help

Hope metro found him some where to stay then.
