An emotional Paul Murray says “the health minister should be ashamed of himself” after it was revealed a NSW hospital discharged a one-year-old girl with a broken neck. “Shame on you Brad Hazzard… this is your job and you’re not doing it very well,” the Sky News host said.

Wyong hospital reportedly failed to notice a 21-month-old girl suffered a broken neck after a head-on car accident - discharging the toddler despite her parents pleading for a full examination. “How is it not automatic that you give this kid a scan after a head-on car accident?” Mr Murray said. Mr Murray said he was angered “beyond words, that our system let her down and let her mum and dad down, that she had to suffer like she suffered for a day".

This is such a sad story. This is my local hospital & having been to emergency on various occasions I have seen how short staffed they are during peak times. Maybe an increase in staff numbers for our public system is warranted. 🤔

Did he miss the diagnosis himself? Bizarre standard.

Someone has been cutting costs at a regional hospital. The only explanation. The minister and hospital administration has to explain themselves.

Well he is a hazard after all.

So he should. Doesn't look the sympathetic type at all.

Lets have a real hard look at the so called doctors. I went to a new GP (big mistake) because my normal was away & the (so called) dr I saw had no idea.English was hard enough asked me what medication I wanted & what strength pill without asking any previous history or anything.

Did the health minister release the patient ? How can he/she/transger shit be held responsible

If an hospital fails, a doctor has failed. It's a human fault. Take action against the doctor and hospital. Instruct hospitals to avoid such recurrence. How come the Health Minister has to be ashamed! New disease among the public!

HTF is it his fault? Did he do the examination? Probably one of the hundreds of thousands of unskilled doctors Morrison imports

This is most likely the fault of the right-wing politics Paul Murray primarily pushes as he pretends he's not a partisan shill. The Liberals can't keep starving hospitals of funding and not have bad outcomes. These people are under enormous pressure.

this heath minister should be sacked

He didn’t miss the diagnosis u flog
